Usually you are given a number to represent either your primary or secondary line. People can reach you at this number as well as you to reach people. As long as the VoIP jack is plugged in, you can make calls and even the long distance ones within the VoIP provider’s service area and talk as long as you want.
These VoIP jacks can be also used by your friends and families overseas. Get the VoIP jack from your provider, assign a local number on the jack and send them to your friends or relatives.
