Promoting Your Posts with 125×125 Ad Banners

I wonder if somebody has thought about it yet.

I mean, look at all the 125×125 ads everywhere. They’re getting more and more popular and widely used as a blog promotion. Entrecard also uses this ad format to help bloggers gain traffic to theirs.
Everytime I looked at one, they link to the homepages. I imagine that those many links, banner ads, are pointing to your main page and less are deeplinking to promote your content. So why not utilizing 125×125 banner ads to also deeplink instead of reliying on text links alone? This is one of mine:

Irrelevant posts or categories will hurt your traffic and your readers!
When I take a walk on the blogosphere, I tend to look at a blog’s categories list and the posts inside. Then I match them against the blog’s title.
If I find them pointing to the same direction, I’ll subscribe to their feed. If I see some effort to make relevant posts to the blog’s headline, I’ll enjoy receiving their updates. I mean, I don’t want an information whether “the Catholic Church is the True Church of Christ or Not” from a technology blog! If I want to, I’ll subscribe to the Pope’s blog instead
