Lower my bills on 2008-08-24 00:40:16 said

New windows can lower your heating bill, so great advice. Various sources quote new windows saving from 10%-20% on your heating bill. I would, though, consider replacing just the window panes if your window frames are in good shape, and especially if you are in a warmer climate. Low-E glass addresses most of the heat transfer in the summer months, and replacing panes is in the $100-$200 range per window.
