Splash Home Page
This is a very popular mistakes made by designers and developers. They place a big banner at the home page with a link on which its written click to enter. If the click button is embedded in flash object the case is worse and impossible for the search spider to crawl on that link. The most important page of the website, i.e. the home page has to be properly optimized by placing appropriate number of keyword with proper links on them.
Flash Menus
Flash menus appear pleasing to the eyes and may attract few users but are non-crawlable by the search spider. This would affect the overall traffic that comes by the search engine results.
Test in Flash and Images- A major mistake done by the designers who keep the test in the flash banners and images. This test is obviously not crawled by the spiders so it’s not of much use for the SEO purpose. If the SEO of the site does not matters much then it can be done otherwise strictly NO.
Excessive use of Ajax
Ajax is used to enhance the looks of the website especially for the purpose of navigation, but it’s non-crawlable by the spiders so its use should be limited.
