So I have got the keyword in the domain but also the hyphen - unfortunately the non-hyphen version was gone. But unfortunately, (and here's the point I wanted to make) when I came to register the domain spam-spam.com I couldn't believe it was not registered. Well now I think I know why - it used to be registered. I've found links on yahoo to the site - and I've no idea what someone before me has done with the domain but it will just not get on Google. So my advice is also to do a linkdomain:your-good-idea.com search on yahoo before you register as you may find that someone had it before you and it's not worth having.
