An alternative way to win in this contest is provide an honest review of bradblogging.com. Well, here’s some of mine which maybe I can use for my own blog… :)

The first time I got into bradblogging.com, I had a cluttered impression on the header. The logo seems to be hitting my eyes with its solid 3 colors combination and the overall header design looks stiff. Not far down below, is a list of recent and popular posts combined with feed subscription links. In my opinion, Brad needs to provide more spacing and some room to breathe on this part.

I like how the content section is laid out but I would recommend down sizing the date. Again, it’s a matter of spaces. As well as my sidebar, both of us need to have them having a separated design from the main content. Either giving it a different background or a line separator to stop our eyes from sweating :) .

The categories list on the sidebar is my next choice of review. I browse through those categories and find some with only one or two posts inside. Why not making them not as much and combine the articles in one category that fits them? For example, the content in Traffic and SEO can be mashed up. SEO is about getting traffic, right? Another tip is not to create a category if you have not already had more than two or more posts for the category. The category list is way long and if you have a category with only one post inside, putting it into a category would only add an extra click to read the post.

Overall suggestion for bradblogging.com is to reduce clutter and not using too many colors especially on top of the blog.
